Member Spotlights are a chance for us to show off the great taste and style of members within the Seasons community. This week, Dervin Dimanche shares his love for pop culture, James Bond silhouettes and the phases of a style journey.
What do you do for school/work?
I recruit and prep Senior Software Engineers for various teams within Global Product and Software Engineering across the east coast at Facebook. I am also a Co-Lead of Black@Facebook Employee Resource group. When I’m not doing that - I’m a photographer.
How long have you lived in New York City?
Born and raised there pretty much my whole life! But I’ve been splitting my time most recently between NYC and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
What is your favorite season?
I was born in the Fall so it’s gotta be that.
How would you describe your taste in clothing?
When describing my taste I’d like to think it’s somewhere in the middle of a spectrum between Kid Cudi & James St. Patrick. Fictional character I know, but he was pretty fly :)
What influences your style?
Definitely various forms of pop culture. This can range from looks I’m seeing in an awesome anime, looks from some of my film favorites like “Boomerang”, “Do the Right thing” and “007” or unorthodox approaches to style presentation in music videos. There has definitely been phases on my style journey but I take pride in being able to switch it up.
Who are some of your favorite designers/brands right now?
Off-White, Comme De Garçon, Aime Leon Dore & SuitSupply.
How long have you been a Seasons member for?
I’ve been fortunate enough to be a Seasons member since launch!
How would you rate your membership with Seasons so far?
On a scale of 1-10 I’d give it a perfect 10. My overall experience so far has been seamless in regards to service and I fall in love with every piece.
Do you have a particular favorite piece from the Seasons catalog?
Favorite piece? Definitely really liked the “Yas Block Knit Top” from Casablanca.
